Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Materials Management & Transportation Manager (level K) to join our team in the Tube, Duct and Reservoir Center (TDRC) in Algona, WA on second shift .

The Materials Management and Transportation Manager will lead a team supporting both enterprise level initiatives and implementing high visibility supply chain focused projects, develops and executes integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives.

This role requires partnership with Leaders across the enterprise and an active member of the Fabrication Division (Boeing Commercial Airplane) Fulfillment team. This position will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain. The candidate must be willing to work second shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Second shift Fulfillment leadership role working in collaboration with operations, quality and engineering to deliver quality parts to Program.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.

  • Delivery responsibility, partnering with Operations on adherence to manufacturing and shipping schedules.

  • Highly trained sense of urgency required, responding to all escalation issues raised by a supplier or customer.

  • Support daily Tier I and Tier II team meetings; Ensure execution of statement of work, measuring team member’s performance against KPIs (People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost).

  • Understand inventory management as a key element for the business to meet targets; Identify logistics and ordering strategies to reduce overall inventory levels.

  • Work with team to manage processes and accountability for inventory holdings.

  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.

  • Acquire resources for department activities, providing technical management of suppliers and leading process improvements.

  • Identify and employ innovative and cost-effective technologies and management processes to achieve better service and business results.

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees working together through an employee involvement and servant leadership philosophy.

  • Ensure compliance to Union Contracts and Quality Management System.

  • Lead Systematic Problem-Solving activities to engage teams to link performance measures to the business and provide the support needed for teams to win and solve problems in the workplace.

  • Drive a service culture mindset within MMO to enable employees to achieve performance excellence to support customers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Materials Management Analysis or Supply Chain Management Analysis

  • 5+ years of experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing

  • 5+ years of experience in leading or managing projects and/or teams

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with ERPLN

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry

  • 5+ years of experience in performing data analysis

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Summary pay range: $107,950– $146,050
