Our client is a well-established local food distribution company specializing in providing top-quality products to restaurants, butcher shops, and other food service providers. With a reputation for reliability and excellent customer service, they are expanding their team and looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to help them grow their customer base and build lasting relationships within the local food industry.

Job Description:

They are seeking a motivated and professional Sales Manager to lead their efforts in expanding their presence with local restaurants, butcher shops, and food distribution clients. This role requires someone with prior experience in the food distribution or supply chain industry, who is confident, dedicated, and passionate about building strong client relationships.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for actively prospecting new clients, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for business expansion, developing customized solutions for clients, and ensuring the highest level of service throughout the entire process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the company’s presence in the local restaurant, butcher shop, and food service sectors.

  • Prospect and acquire new business clients within the food distribution space.

  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor offerings to meet customer needs.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing, closing sales to meet revenue targets.

  • Perform regular market analysis to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.

  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

  • Travel locally to meet with clients and attend industry events as necessary.

Salary: $60,000 Base + Commission (Commission will kick in after approximately 6-months as you build your business.)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Sales a MUST (preferably in the food distribution, restaurant, or supply chain industries)

  • Strong network and knowledge of local restaurants, butcher shops, and food service businesses.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in building and nurturing business relationships.

  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a passion for sales.

  • Willingness to travel locally for client meetings.

  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
