Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to work at a Correctional Facility in Airway Heights, WA These are registry positions with our company.

36hrs Travel Package

Weekly Gross Pay = $468

Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $13

Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $847 (Hotel-553 Meals-294)

Total Weekly ($847 is not taxed)= $1315

Feels like per hour = $36.58

$1315 div 36 hours = $36.58

40hrs Travel Package

Weekly Gross Pay = $560

Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $14

Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $910 (Hotel-546 Meals-364)

Total Weekly ($910 is not taxed)= $1470

Feels like per hour = $36.75

$1470 div 40 hours = $36.75

Shifts Available:

  • M-F 0700-1530

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience as a Medical Assistant

  • Must have up to date certification in the state of WA

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care under direction of nursing staff

  • Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history

  • Update and maintain all client records

  • Assist nurse in maintaining medical inventory

  • Administer prescribed medications to patients

  • Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment

  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment
