We are in search of a dedicated Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in Spokane, Washington. This role involves handling medical billing, enhancing healthcare knowledge, and leveraging technology to optimize our billing and collections processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing payments, and managing appeals and claims. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and submitting insurance claims

• Managing account payments and maintaining up-to-date patient records

• Handling collections and outstanding balances

• Administering billing functions and claim administration processes

• Conducting appeal processes for denied claims

• Interacting with insurance companies regarding discrepancies in payments if necessary

• Ensuring compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws, and ethics.

Requirements

• Experience in medical billing functions, and claim administration.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance practices.
