Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the Region in meeting AF Solutions sales and customer service objectives.

Technical Support /Clinical Support
Represents Medtronic AFS duringablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technicalassistance.
Receives technical inquiries bycustomers. Researches solutions to questions or problems (e.g., Catheter ,Console , Generator support)
Educates and trains physicians,hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to AFSproducts and related procedures.
One-on-one training sessions.
In-service education programs.
Seminars and/or outsidesymposiums.
Assists RM and field trainingdepartment in educating/training new Clinical Specialists and AccountManagers.
Provides training and resourcesfor hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel
Updates sales representativesconcerning procedure.. Immediately notifies Account Manager regardingissues or problems requiring follow-up.
Serves as effective MedtronicAFS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic AFSproducts, service and support.
Promotes the safe and effectiveuse of Medtronic AFS products and related procedures.
Understands national, regionaland territory sales objectives. Works in partnership with Account Managerto achieve exceed goals.

High School Diploma PLUS a minimumfive years of work experience in the healthcare field within an EP, Cathlab or sales in a cardiac field or,
An Associate’s Degree in engineering,nursing, biology, chemistry or exercise physiology filed PLUS a minimumthree years of work experience in thehealthcare field within an EP,Cath lab or sales in a cardiac field or,
A Bachelor’s degree PLUS a minimum oftwo years of work experience in the healthcare field within an EP or Cathlab or sales in a cardiac field.
- Preferred for Clinical Specialist Preferencewill be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronicexperience. • B.A./B.S.Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical disciplinewith minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field,hospital/clinic or sales.
Proven track record with technicaltraining assignments.
Experience in the cardiac catheterablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providingtechnical / clinical support.
If the final candidate has aBachelor’s degree and less than the required experience then theposition may be filled at the Associate Clinical Specialist level.
If the final candidatehas 4 years of clinical specialist experience with a medical device pacingcompany and at least 2 more years of related healthcare experience or 5years of clinical specialist experience with a medical device pacingcompany then the position may be filled at the Senior Clinical Specialistlevel. If the final candidate has 7 years of clinical specialist experience witha medical device pacing company and at least 2 more years of related healthcareexperience or 9 years of clinical specialist experience with a medicaldevice pacing company, then the position may be filled at the PrincipalClinical Specialist level. IBHRE Certification is required for the Prin.Clinical Specialist level.

•Continuous verbal and written communication.
• Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and fromone to another surface at approximately the same level.
• Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day
• Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease andradiation
•Ability to wear 7-9 lbs of lead for extended periods of time while in the OR
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools orcontrols.
• Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse
• Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel andoperating a personal computer.
• Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% of time)
• Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assignedterritory.
•Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
•Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory eachday to be available as unscheduled needs arise. Clinical Specialists areperiodically required to work weekends, evenings and nights. ClinicalSpecialists serve as a primary resource for scheduled and on-call assignmentsand as a back up to sales representatives during unassigned weekends, eveningsand nights.
• Musthave a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. Inaddition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as partof your application.
