As a Test Engineer in Research & Development, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Test Engineer a typical day might include the following:

• Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software testing systems.

• Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with Firmware and Power Engineers.

• Prepare and maintain designs and test documentation.

• Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.

• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

• Understand. Create. Simplify.

• Other duties as assigned.

  This job might be for you if:

• You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

• You have 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas:

• You have experience with object oriented design & object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java).

• You have experience with python or other scripting languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OO design and architectural patterns, Agile development principles and processes & relational database principles and concepts.

• Experience with revision control systems (Git, Mercurial), automated unit testing (MSTest, NUnit, JUnit), with functional testing principles and methodologies.

• Knowledge of SEL products and their applications Modern communications protocols

• Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, Digital communications and signal processing and Project Management.

Pay Range Data:

We anticipate filling this position as a Test Engineer $70,000 - $108,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
