This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Our MK2 Crew Lander mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and integrated power and propulsion architecture - as a precursor to certifying the vehicle for use by NASA as part of the Artemis lunar exploration program. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will apply standard engineering techniques to research, develop, design, analyze, and test electrical components, equipment, software systems, and networks. Responsible for the release to production of the electronic subsystems used to monitor, communicate with, and control launch vehicles, spacecraft, satellites, and their ground support systems. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 25% of the time Shifts available: 1st Shift: 8 am - 5 pm Interviews will include a technical assessment Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Engineering responsibility for the design, development, testing, and integration of internally produced antennas for the 12 RF communication links on the Blue Moon Landers (e.g., X, S, and Ka-band) Lead a Blue Origin team that includes manufacturing engineers, production experts, and test engineers in the development of our communications antenna products Provide technical consultation to other members of the team in analyzing/optimizing antenna designs about specific radio links Represent Blue Origin in customer forums and executive engagements as needed, based on the progress of the internal antenna project Develop reference materials (e.g., process documentation, training materials, engineering guides) on antenna design, development, and testing in support of organizational goals of standardization and repeatability Minimum Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field Subject matter expertise in antenna conceptual modeling, design, analysis, manufacture, and testing/qualification, especially in aerospace applications (e.g., satellite or spacecraft communications, aviation) Expertise in the use of HFSS, Antenna Magus, and/or FEKO as they apply to antenna design, analysis, and modeling Ability to lead and work effectively in collaborative team environments Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refug
