What you'll be doing...
You’ll join a team of change agents that are effective at shifting software development and technical leadership practices across Tableau’s Product Development organization. Strategic Growth’s Senior Dev Project Manager is responsible for designing and managing a broad portfolio of learning projects and programs for Tableau’s engineering community. Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll lead the development of complex technical learning and leadership projects to establish new sustainable processes and drive critical change management initiatives.
Some of the things you'll be doing include...
Run complex projects/programs through the complete program lifecycle.
Seek information about the underlying needs of customers. Partners with customer and leadership stakeholders to define and prioritize strategic initiatives.
Uses others’ time efficiently – ideas and proposals are articulated clearly to stakeholders to limit the need for churn and re-work.
‘Connects the dots’ – works with customers to identify interdependencies and upstream /downstream impacts. Coordinates multiple disparate efforts into a cohesive set of projects with clear success metrics.
Leads others in scoping problems by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, and outcomes.
Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Oversees project engineering and third party deliverables where necessary.
Efficiently identifies and resolves program issues.
Design and maintain project documentation.
Model operational excellence practices and continuous improvement.
Communicate clearly and compellingly to stakeholders of all levels.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impair the team’s ability to meet customer expectations.
Identify opportunities to operationalize and automate repeatable processes.
Manage and coordinate the actions and interactions of hundreds of contributors and customers.
Define, collect and measure key program metrics to inform success/failure.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.
7+ years’ experience managing projects and/or programs.
Experience with content management systems and learning management systems, preferred.
Hands on experience with iterative data driven experimentation for examples, scientist, educator, experience software or hardware PM.
Experience with statistical analysis.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and Knowledge Management Tools.
Analytics depth in training management.
