Robert Half Technology is actively recruiting for a contract Senior Desktop Administrator / Engineer position for one of our Healthcare clients located in Seattle, WA. If you are interested and your qualifications aligned with the Senior Desktop Administrator / Engineer Position, please apply directly or send your resume to Summary/Objective: Responsible for maintaining desktop computers and desktop management tools and systems Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer on premise systems and solutions to support staff and improve user experience

  • Act as an escalation point for on-site support staff

  • Design, implement and maintain operating system deployment solutions for a diverse range of end-user devices

  • Package and deploy software applications using tools such as PowerShell and Kace

  • Automate routine tasks and assist in the automation of workflows for other teams

  • Operate independently for long periods while adhering to standard practices

  • Produce appropriate documentation for all relevant activities

  • Monitor and prioritize daily ticket flow within the ticketing system to meet service levels

  • Adhere to incident, problem, and change management processes

  • Apply OS and Application patches and upgrades on a regular basis

  • Identification of remediation targets for all client management tools

  • Perform routine system audits and drive remediation efforts

  • Participate in on-site deskside support rotation

  • Provide high quality customer service while using technical expertise to support end-users in-person, on the phone, by e-mail, or by instant message

  • Install, setup, and configure user devices (desktop, notebooks, tablets, phones, printers, etc.)

  • Provide desktop software support for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other common desktop applications, including feature and function usage

  • Install, configure, and support connections to the wireless network, telephony, unified communication, and voice and video conferencing

  • Support, manage, and provide usage guidance on mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Windows)

  • Create user accounts and assign licensing

  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience providing technical customer support in a corporate environment, with specific experience supporting desktop computers and mobile devices

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience using management tools to standardize and secure computer configurations and compliance

  • A solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, group policy, active directory. Software packaging and distribution, operating system deploying, scripting, antivirus, antimalware, device encryption, and core systems infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, Networking etc...) is required

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience using hardware software management tools to standardize and secure computer configurations and compliance
