NBBJ is looking for a talented Commercial Market Leader to lend their expertise in building our Seattle based commercial practice through business development efforts as well as direct leadership on project. Adept at building long-term strategic relationships, marketing complex projects, and playing a leadership role on projects, Market Leaders shape NBBJ's global practice at the regional, national and international levels, advancing our commitment to innovation and design excellence. Deep office, residential and hospitality experience is encouraged. Market Leaders are client and public-facing experts who are tasked with winning new work and nurturing existing client relationships, and pursuing opportunities in line with the needs and strategy of their studio. Adept at building lasting strategic relationships, marketing complex projects, and engaging and inspiring others across the studio and firm, Market Leaders shape NBBJ's global practice at the regional, national, and international levels, driving forward innovation and design excellence. They work closely with the Commercial Practice Leadership team to generate leads, identify new business opportunities, and develop client acquisition and retention strategies to grow the practice. The ideal candidate for this role can work both collaboratively and independently, is proactive in delivering success, is able to positively influence others and can thrive in the face of ambiguity and changing conditions. Your New Role: Grow the Seattle-based commercial practice by developing and executing client acquisition and retention strategies for expansion within the Pacific Northwest Develop and maintain relationships with potential and current clients through a deep understanding of their enterprise and needs Work closely with respective Studio, Commercial Practice Leader and Marketing Manager to continually identify and generate business opportunities and broaden the practice in a way that is aligned with NBBJ's and the practice's strategic vision Assist in the development of marketing content that strengthens the practice image, value propositions and POV Provide strategy and vision for proposals and interviews with prospective clients to increase win rate Generate a strong pipeline - leads and prospects - to increase the practice's reach and influence Ensure practice profitability in your respective studio, including the meeting of annual sales goals and revenue targets, while also meeting marketing budgets Provide leadership on a range of architectural projects Advance the commercial practice's reputation through conference presentations, journal articles, and social media communications Regular/monthly travel required What you will need to Succeed: Must be an expert in their field with a deep understanding of NBBJ's work Proven ability to build business and deliver complex commercial projects Skilled at viewing the world through the client's lens Well-connected and regarded within the development community and active in industry organizatio
