The Research Associate will support our research team in a broad range of activities including data analysis, program assessments, project evaluation, and technical assistance tasks. Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories. Responsibilities The responsibilities for the position include: Apply quantitative methods and techniques to manage and analyze research data. Translate into statistical software code business requirements and technical specifications. Construct, clean, and properly document large datasets for analysis. Conduct literature reviews of technical and professional publications. Create customized and presentation-quality reports from data analysis results. Participate in the design of research studies. Manage administrative aspects of projects. Support the preparation of technical procedures and reports. Write, compile, and edit assigned portions of proposals and project reports. Review work products to ensure quality and consistency of content. Qualifications Education, Knowledge, and Experience: Masters degree in Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, or related social science field required, OR bachelors degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience. Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques. Very strong knowledge of statistical software, preferably STATA and SAS. Proficiency with Word and Excel. Report and/or proposal preparation experience. Knowledge of SQL and Python a plus. Experience working with large datasets is a plus. Skills: Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing. Ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team environment. Disclosures: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
