Amazon is looking for a smart, driven, and analytical Program Manager to drive tool adoption, and share knowledge and best practices across all Amazon geographies. Help us raise the bar on negotiation for our customers! This role is highly visible, and requires very strong influencing without authority skills. A successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders in Retail and Customer Experience to drive product adoption. This Program Manager is a leader who is passionate about improving the customer experience, is close to retail, and will be an effective evangelist for Vendor Negotiations across Amazon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor or product management, with experience running a business and launching new services. We are looking for the perfect mix of evangelist, listener and data enthusiast, with five or more years of customer facing product management experience and strong business judgment. They have very strong written and oral communication skills, present well and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment without being hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Ability to make data-driven decisions and influence a diverse group of stakeholders will be essential for success in this role. Vendor Management and negotiation experience is a plus. The role's key responsibilities will include: Lead the adoption of our automation initiatives for key products across Amazon Retail organization. Measure and monitor product and negotiation effectiveness by inventing and tracking KPIs, and use data to identify opportunities for growth or expansion. Develop detailed business requirements and case studies that can be used encourage adoption across internal and external customers. Incorporate feedback from internal and external partners into useful business requirements to improve future releases, and shape new products. Own the development and management of the program plans, ensuring that all activities are completed on a timely basis to the highest possible standards. Work closely with the business, operations, and technical teams on individual projects, features and launches to track progress, milestones, issues and risks Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. Drive continuous improvement culture change through best practice sharing and advocacy. Build metrics/reporting/analytics to measure and improve process quality and productivity. Manage, analyze, and communicate relevant results to senior management Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree 5+ years of project/program management and facilitation of process improvement initiatives across business operations and technology Preferred Qualifications MBA or Masters in Marketing, or Marketing Research. PMP/Lean/Six Sigma Black belt certification, and demonstrated working knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma principles Outstanding interpersonal skills - decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate and inspire others.
