Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Google Cloud Platform Marketing team is responsible for raising awareness and interest about Google Cloud Platform among enterprises, start-ups and developers everywhere. We do this by creating assets and stories that inspire, running programs that communicate our messages based on their needs, providing content that earns user trust and guides users to solve their problems, whilst maintaining a compelling and relevant brand voice. We serve as a voice for our users to ensure a great customer experience across the entire customer lifecycle.

You will be responsible for building out and communicating our product value to internal and external audiences. This means making our solution and product value propositions real through the creation of product narratives, technology showcases and hands-on experiences, and working to scale our messages and technical content through a range of different channels. Product Marketing serves as subject matter experts across the broader marketing organization and is the go-to place for expertise and engineering/product management connection.

Data is your special super-power. You know how to use data and machine learning to provoke interest and tell a story. You possess first rate technical skills combined with excellent written and verbal communications skills. You are equally at home building compelling product narratives as you are going head-to-head with industry influentials and analysts. You have the ability to analyze and diagnose complex technical and business challenges, formulate out of the box solutions, and influence engineering in product roadmap and investment areas.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving marketing programs for our Cloud Machine Learning products and services. You have and will continue to build a strong technical aptitude, leadership skills and business acumen. You must be able to generate high-impact ideas, clearly prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.

Success in this role will require the development of strong working relationships and interactions with customers, senior leaders, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups across Google.

  • Build world-class, inspiring technology showcase assets that excite customers
  • Work and collaborate with other marketing and engineering functions to define and deliver the Cloud Platform technology value proposition
  • Drive awareness of Google Cloud Platform in the market and engage with key influencers
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns and technology showcases for Google Cloud Platform
  • Partner with engineering to develop and/or deliver industry leading product demonstrations for major events, including executive keynotes

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or marketing or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of technology or software marketing experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Enterprise/cloud marketing experience.
  • Experience marketing machine learning products or virtualized servers.
  • Experience planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs including budget management.
  • Experience building and developing global scale campaigns.
  • Successful track record of working collaboratively across multiple engineering and marketing teams.
