Swedish Medical Center Perioperative Support Technologist II- Anesthesia in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Perioperative Support Tech II (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Anesthesia at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Perioperative Support Tech II will work with medical personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Swedish Medical Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Anesthesiologist in all departments where anesthesia is administered. The position participates in 'call' rotation for continuous Perioperative Support Technologist (PST) at night, on weekends and holidays.

In this position you will:

  • Expedite patient flow through the perioperative area, maintaining patient safety and customer satisfaction

  • Set up, operate, and maintain specialized equipment

  • Assist the Anesthesiologist with evaluation and monitoring of the patients during the perioperative phase

  • Assist in sterile or Isolation areas

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associates Degree in Science or Medical area

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification within 90 days of hire

  • EKG Interpretation

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

  • Anesthesia Tech certification through ASATT (The American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians)

  • Previous experience in an Anesthesia Department
