RESPONSIBILITIES Co-ops at AWS are provided opportunities to work on a number of strategic initiatives within different marketing functions. Applicants will have an opportunity to be evaluated for any of the roles below: Digital Marketing Specialist, Campaigns The co-op in this role will partner heavily with our product marketing managers (PMMs) to identify campaign themes and write content. This co-op will take responsibility for: 1) creating a work-back schedule to deliver the project on time; 2) build and test emails; 3) validate our approach by working with field marketing and product teams; and 4) ultimately launch and monitor the impact of these new email campaigns. The co-op will also be responsible for documenting the test and learn approach for optimizing engagement with nurture emails. This project will be a great opportunity for a marketing student to gain exposure to an industry-standard enterprise marketing automation tool (Marketo), learn to navigate a complex project with global stakeholders, and see a great example of using big data to create a highly personalized business to business (B2B) marketing campaign with direct ties to business outcomes. Digital Marketing Specialist, Lead Management The co-op supporting this project will serve as a business analyst for our lead management function within the Marketing Automation team. The project includes leading the development and enhancement of marketing and sales flows in the lead flow process, including full project management experience in developing technical solutions to solve a strong business need. The successful co-op will be working in our core systems (Salesforce.com and Marketo) and leading critical conversations with Sales and Marketing leadership to drive high performance metrics across the organization. Digital Marketing Specialist, Webinars As a member of the AWS Webinar team, the student in this role will be responsible for creating a repeatable and scalable process for the on-demand webinar program which includes developing a strategy around how we select webinar content, re-use messaging, drive demand generation, re-run webinars, and deliver results to key stakeholders. The co-op will work closely with our webinar program managers to make sure our live and on-demand programs are aligned and partner with product marketing managers to gather requirements. The co-op will be responsible for creating a work flow schedule, developing an A/B testing strategy, and sharing results on best practices. Additionally, the co-op will work with the product marketing team to leverage our existing inventory of webinars to find more opportunities to educate customers and prospects about AWS services.
