Antea USA Inc. Health and Safety Consultant (Senior-Level) in Seattle, Washington

Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Senior-Level Health and Safety Consultant in the Greater Seattle Area. As a Health and Safety Consultant, you will be located at one of our technology client's facilities on a daily basis, and work with their global EHS Management team to provide EHS services, solutions, programs, best practices, and technical guidance. This position is a full-time role that will be embedded with our client. This position is immediately available and is a long-term contract position. Relocation assistance is available for the ideal candidate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Supporting the EHS Management Team with health and safety compliance management, training, communications, EHS engineering, and design reviews as well as general project management and administration. * Collaborating with the EHS Management Team to influence and manage EHS resources, projects, and business decisions. * Monitoring, revising, and implementing updates in safety regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. * Conducting needs assessments for potential occupational exposures in research and development labs. * Conducting risk assessments, accident investigation and root cause analyses, environmental and IH-related sampling, and health and safety auditing at client locations. * Developing, writing, and implementing H&S programs and procedures to drive compliance and safety performance for the high-tech and manufacturing industries. Areas of focus may include machine guarding / machine shop safety, confined space, respiratory protection, electrical safety, laser use, and fall protection, among others. * Provide resources to research and development teams on safety and health regulations and best practices during both the design phase and implementation phase of new products and testing or trial procedures. * Developing, writing, and delivering safety training courses. Strong presentation skills and a comfort level with delivering to both small and larger audiences is key. Experience with eLearning development, while not required, would be beneficial. * Limited environmental tasks related to EPCRA (Tier II reporting), SPCC and stormwater management QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, health, and safety, public safety or relevant EHS fields, or equivalent relevant experience in the health and safety field. * 10+ years of experience in the EHS industry; sampling, managing projects, developing, and implementing EHS management systems. Industry certifications such as CSP, CIH or CHMM (or near-term ability to obtain) are a plus. * Clean room, compressed gas system and wet chemistry environment experience. * Familiarity with materials testing laboratory processes and performance of thermal degradation evaluations. * Experience with laser safety (laser safety officer certification is not required). * Small-scale emergency response experience (including air monitoring instrument use and calibration) is a plus. * Must understand OSHA regulations in addition to state-specific regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of additional regulations is a plus (NFPA, DOT / IATA, ANSI). * Exemplary organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are a must. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently, including but not limited to, project management, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, and injury prevention. * Ability to work independently, with ability to self-direct and attention to detail. * Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, comfortable learning new IT systems and technologies. * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
