Job Details

The Oracle BI Architect plays the leadership role in establishing the architectural direction and standards for the OBIEE application and data store. The Architect recommends and guides the best use of BI, ETL and Database technologies to achieve the most efficient, scalable and responsive solutions to address Enterprise Reporting needs. The Architect functions as the technical lead to the BI team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review business problems and architect appropriate solutions utilizing Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and BI -Publisher

  • Function as hands-on BI/DW Architect and work with other members of IT and business units to define and implement technical specifications for BI solutions

  • Develop and maintain technical project plans, documentation and application architecture blueprints diagrams

  • Install and configure all components of OBIEE

  • Possess strong technical knowledge of Oracle BI Architecture, Admin Tools, configuration of dashboards, catalogs and report securityThorough understanding of Oracle BI Server architecture and Metadata management.

  • Hands on experience with full life cycle of DW design and development including:

  • Logical and physical data modeling

  • Mapping Data Elements from various data sources

  • Loading DW objects including dimensions, hierarchies, fact tables, aggregates

  • Building the Reporting Metadata layer and the Reports

  • Thorough understanding of Oracle BI Server architecture and Metadata management

    Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience

  • 2 years OBIEE 10.x implementation and support experience

  • Oracle BI Applications (Sales and Marketing )

  • Experience with Oracle OBIEE as part of a packaged Oracle BI Application or in a stand alone configuration

  • OBIEE Marketing Server experience

  • OBIEE Marketing Metadata experience

  • Data Warehouse Design & Build Experience including star schema and data modeling

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with ETL/Data integration using tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder, Informatica or Oracle Data Integrator desired

  • Siebel Certification preferredExcellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to interact well with all levels with the organization

  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to complete projects
