Windows Server group in WDG is responsible for creating and powering mission critical engineering from on-premises datacenters of enterprises, to private and public clouds. Our team is responsible for the Failover Clustering, Storage Spaces Direct, container storage, storage management, and file services for private & public cloud. We are looking for a dynamic Program Manager to shape-up the next generation high availability and Software-defined Storage (SDS) storage solutions, and be at the heart of our hyper-converged infrastructure strategy.
•You will orchestrate across various product teams in the company to craft scenarios for the next generation of Server product and technologies.
•You will drive, along with a high-energetic and passionate Program Managers to create product strategy, roadmap, and product positioning.
•Your obsession with Customers to empathize would help gather and prioritize requirements, undertake competitive analysis, identify features and create functional specifications, engage in project management and risk mitigation.
•You will engage actively with customers, external and internal partner teams during various stages of the product lifecycle – product inception to release to all the way into customer deployments.
•You will work with various functional streams – software engineering, release management, UX, UA, support, product management and marketing.
A successful candidate will have technical knowledge in server and storage related areas, can manage partner and cross organizational relationships, will think creatively and strategically and deliver quality products. They will be great communicators, self-motivated, have technical understanding and prioritization skills.
•5+ years of experience shipping programming language software
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
•Depth of knowledge in high availability systems and clustering technologies
•Knowledge in networking and/or security technologies
•Experience with Hyper-V, SQL Server, Exchange, and File Server scenarios
•Shipped at least one enterprise products and understands the software development lifecycle
