The Azure Blueprint Program is designed to help our customers ensure that their usage of the Microsoft Cloud is both secure and compliant across a number of regulatory frameworks and industry verticals. The program consists of five primary pillars: Architecture - documenting the design of Azure services, providing reference architectures for solutions built on Azure, and articulating security responsibilities for customers using Azure services. Certification - documenting the security and compliance features of Azure that are inherited by our customers, producing guidance on how to securely deploy solutions on Azure. Automation - developing automation the deploys secure and compliant solutions on behalf of customers. Expertise - providing security & architecture reviews of customer solutions, meeting with regulators on behalf of customers. Partnership - maintaining a pool of qualified audit and compliance partners

The Azure Blueprint Program is relaunching as a formal product in FY18. We are looking for a program manager to own and operate the product offering, including the formal launch process. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE (YOU) This role must have proven product launch, communication, and project management skills who can manage and enable the success of projects and drive a cross discipline project to successful completion. The position requires a person that understands and works well with different groups and that can navigate and understand different perspectives and processes. You must be able to work in a fast paced and agile environment. We are looking for someone who has the technical depth required to effectively communicate with SMEs from security, engineering, operations, support, and other disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Launch the Azure Blueprint Program

  • Manage the Azure Blueprint team

  • Collaborate across Microsoft to accelerate automated solutions development

  • Manage development of software and tooling to enhance customer consumption of Azure Blueprint capabilities

  • Manage integration with GRC tools and partners

  • Manage partner program for qualified auditors and compliance experts Skills and


  • Advanced understanding of IT operations techniques and diverse IT architectures; specific knowledge of hyper-scale cloud products is a plus

  • Advanced project management skills: able to deliver cross-group projects and drive change

  • Advanced writing skills: able to clearly articulate ideas for executive level consumption as well as technical staff consumption

  • Advanced problem solving skills: able to use prior experience and knowledge to address new situations

  • Advanced analytical skills: able to use prior experience and knowledge to seamlessly incorporate new knowledge or information

  • Intermediate presentation skills: able to interview engineers on technical subject matter as well as brief executive level stakeholders

  • CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 or other compliance related certifications are a plus


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on products and product launches

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineer, Architect or Consultant

  • Direct experience with security, compliance and regulatory frameworks- including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SSAE/SOC 1 and 2, FedRAMP, Privacy, NIST certification and accreditation processes is a plus

  • A solid track record of achieving success through teamwork and collaboration, resolving conflict, and measuring results

  • A career trajectory that shows consistent, excellent performance in challenging and evolving roles
