Microsoft Corporation Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC) Planning Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Windows, Devices and Gaming (WDG) Finance team is looking for an energetic individual with drive and enthusiasm to take on the role of BPC Planning Manager on the WDG Insights, Tools and Solutions (WDGITS) team. BPC (Business Planning & Consolidations) is an SAP planning tool, generally used by large enterprise companies, and now also used within Microsoft by the WDG Finance Organization for Planning (Budgeting and Forecasting). The WDGITS team is responsible for providing business intelligence, financial reporting and financial tools for the WDG Organization.

The successful candidate will have excellent process and communications skills with a passion for business excellence. This person should also possess strong business acumen, outstanding problem solving and project management skills, and thrive in a dynamic business environment. This position provides a great opportunity for in depth visibility to the Windows and Devices Businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Operate existing BPC Processes and Tool

  • Proactively support end users through planning cycles, and manage communications with them

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and solve production issues

  • Partner with the relevant teams in WDG (ROB, WDGITS, CFT, FBI) to drive the timelines and ensure BPC is ready for user input

  • Engage with end users to understand business requirements and drive iterative design and testing process

  • Act as a liaison between business end users and technical teams to build future capabilities and enhance existing; coordinate deployments

  • Manage end to end tasks and process independently

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, and/or Information Systems or equivalent

  • 5+ years of applicable work experience; prior Financial Planning experience and/or having owned Finance Processes and Tools

  • Microsoft Excel Mastery including Pivot Tables, Macros, Data Integration

  • Basic / Intermediate knowledge of structured data (i.e. how a database works)
