Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

Program Specialist works independently to plan, organize, and coordinate day-to-day operations for University Recreation. Provides primary support to Outdoor Adventure Programs, Rental Shop, Climbing Wall, Challenge Program, Chinook Student Center and UREC special events. Provides general support to the University Recreation department.

 

Job Duties:

 

Program Coordination - 50%

 

General Support - 20%

 

Fiscal Management - 15%

 

Personnel - 10%

 

Other Duties - 5%

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/experience.

 

• Two or more years' experience in recreation, coordinating programming, or event coordination.

 

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Two or more years coordinating programs, human resources, or student groups including basic fiscal and complex clerical experience.

 

• Experience with WSU applications systems.

 

• Experience in higher education fiscal setting.

 

• Experience working effectively with diverse customers and staff.

Monthly Salary:

 

$3,537 to $4,723 | Range 42 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://https:/app.leg.wa.gov/WAC/default.aspx?cite=357-28.
