Summary of Duties
This position will have responsibility to advise and provide program support to prospective and current students in conjunction with the other Engineering and Computer Science (ENCS) Academic Coordinator.
Responsibilities include student recruitment, analyzing student applications, course transfer evaluations and transcripts, assessing academic level of students, responding to academic inquiries, and developing individual academic plans.
This position will also provide proactive outreach and service to currently enrolled students to ensure retention goals are met and exceeded.

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time academic advising experience at a college or university or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Accreditations: WSU ACADA Level 1 certification within six (6) months of hire.
Work experience with engineers or other technical professionals.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience working with a diverse student population including non-traditional, first generation college students and under-represented student populations.
Familiarity with student information systems such as myWSU, and similar degree audit reports.
