Serves in the Customer Service Management Division. Call Center Section providing customer service by responding to all incoming telephone calls for the JPPSO NW Area of Responsibility. Provides entitlement information for inbound and outbound customers and delivery instructions to include claims procedures. Serves as Transportation Agent for the Transportation Officer and Ordering Official for contractual services against the Direct Procurement Method contract. Serves as senior assistant, preparing reports and maintaining records as required by supervisor. Research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, access, analyze and improve proesses, effectiveness, efficiency and work products. Provide training to Call Center employees on office procedures, policies, and service member entitlements as well as proper etiquette in dealing with customers.

To qualify for the GS-07 based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as advising on Outbound and inbound technical shipment operation; rules, regulations and procedures governing personal property, shipment or storage of household goods, unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, cost estimate, cost comparison, direct payment invoices, local moves and Non-temporary Storage. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
- Skill in the application of Travel regulations
- Knowledge in Travel Coordination
- Skill in Travel Procedures
- Ability to provide Customer Service
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-06 grade (or equivalent).
