Summary

 

The primary role of the Support & Recovery Advocate (SRA) is to encourage personal growth through recovery-based support as well as providing daily living support to KIM clients in their home and in the community. SRA's will strive to motivate and encourage clients toward Community Protection (CP) graduation as they follow their therapist's Treatment Plan. The pay range is $18.50 - $19.50.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Acknowledge and advocate for the needs, wants, and rights of clients with dignity and respect.  
  • Teach useful emotional and behavioral regulation techniques.  
  • Identify areas of change as outlined in their therapist's Treatment Plan that clients on their caseload are working toward.  
  • Collaborate with clients to achieve goals resulting in graduation from the CP Program by developing action plans based on their Treatment Plan and suggesting different actions when necessary.

``` - Evaluate clients' advancement toward goal actualization.   - Collaborate with the client, therapist, and CP Program Manager to identify triggers that could lead to relapse.   - Encourage continued and sustainable progress.   - Coordinate goal setting and report progress with clients and management team.   - Coordinate individualized programs for clients and document activity thoroughly.   - Assist with client money management such as petty cash, receipts, checkbook and EBT's.   - Supervise clients to ensure adequate safety.   - Keep all hazardous materials, medications, etc. in the designated secured location.   - Implement a safe and clean environment in which our clients live.   - Report promptly instances of injuries, behaviors, abuse, and safety hazards, etc. to management, following the Chain of Command.   - Ensure adequate health care for each client.   - Ensure clients have access to regular meals.   - Transport and accompany clients to and from all agency outings, activities, and health appointments, and/or arrange transportation services as appropriate.    - Provide appropriate documentation for each appointment to management in a timely manner.   - Communicate with medical offices and pharmacies.   - Administer medications to clients and document accordingly (if applicable).   - Assist client with daily hygiene as outlined in care plans, including personal care such as brushing teeth, bathing, hair washing, toileting, etc. (if applicable).   - Maintain client confidentially.   - Maintain appropriate staff/client relationships.   - Safeguard all company and client property.  

Maintain an ongoing inventory of client's personal property.

 

Complete all forms, reports, and data sheets for caseload.

 

Be aware and abide by all agency policies, procedures, and practices.
