Confidential Kennel Technician in Bothell, Washington
Seeking an experienced kennel tech to help care for our furry patrons! We are an extremely busy boarding and grooming facility that has been in business for 45+ years. Located on a busy main highway with visibility from said highway.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must love animals!
- Must have comfortability interacting with dogs & cats of all breeds and sizes
- Weekend, night, summer and holiday availability required
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and fellow employees
- 1-2 years of animal hospitality preferred
- Animal handling and behavior analysis preferred
- Bathing experience preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Job Description:
- Evaluate each animal for comfortability and safety
- Report findings to office staff immediately
- Responsible for distributing food to each individual and monitoring eating habits
- Distribute medications
- Follow exercise/love
- Transporting animals from the lobby to runs or play yards and vice versa
- Must be able to evaluate personalities in accordance with safety pertaining to individuals and surrounding individuals
- Sanitizing all walkways
- Scooping and sanitizing runs and play yards
- Sanitizing, and replacing bedding for all animals
- Wash bedding and wash/sanitize water/food bowls daily
- Maintain cleanliness of entire facility and property
- Disinfect and perform necessary maintenance on tools required for job duties
- Occasionally bathe dogs and perform nail trims (depending on experience)
- Ensure patrons are properly secured
- Maintain effective communication between all employees
