You are responsible for

  • Engage in embedded software development using C programming language.

  • Utilize 32-bit microcontrollers to contribute to cutting-edge consumer medical devices.

  • Write concise, readable, and easily maintainable code, adhering to high-quality software engineering practices.

  • Document work comprehensively to facilitate collaboration within the development team.

  • Develop new application technologies by leveraging existing Integrated Circuits (ICs) to enhance product functionality.

  • Comfortably work in a hybrid agile setup, actively contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Your role:

As an Embedded Software Engineer for high-volume consumer medical devices, you will play a pivotal role in designing, documenting, and implementing high-quality embedded software across diverse platforms and product ranges.

You are a part of

  • Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

  • 5+ years’ experience in embedded software development in a professional organization, ideally in the Medical Device industry. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in microcontroller and peripherals programming.

  • Experience in defining, designing, documenting, testing, and implementing embedded firmware for 32-bit microcontrollers using C programming language in a regulated industry (FDA strongly preferred).

  • Proficiency in using tools such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, IDEs, and emulators for debugging and testing.

  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills in a multi-discipline engineering project environment.

  • Understanding of board and system-level technologies and the ability to read, interpret and review analog and digital circuit schematics.

  • Experience in wireless technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc. (preferred)

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position is $120,000.00- $190,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
