Role synopsis:

The Site Rental Coordinator is the single point of contact for all BP Cherry Point Refinery departments and contractors needing rental equipment. This position coordinates and manages all refinery rental equipment from cradle to grave for the purpose of implementing refinery cost-saving measures.

Though the Rental Coordinator is primarily responsible for equipment rentals across the site, the Rental Coordinator also will be responsible for other Logistic Team topics including but not limited to radios, Food Trucks, and other TA logistics support.

Key accountabilities:

  • Review all equipment rental requests, including third party rentals (working with Procurement and the requester).

  • Perform rental request training for new contractors or groups that need a refresher course.

  • Communicate, schedule, and track rental equipment.

  • Manage TA Planners’ mobile fleet including trucks, mules, and buses.

  • Purchase request (PR) writing

  • Work both independently and with other plant personnel to support turnaround, project, routine maintenance, and production work. Act as a liaison person between Turnaround, Projects, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Operations and other supporting departments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Education:

High school diploma or GED

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • Prior turnaround, maintenance, or project planning experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with basic office computer software (e.g., Word, Excel, and mainframe applications).
