Salary: $210,255/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Duties:
Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run company applications. Build new features and improve existing products. Push code, drive the development of the systems behind products, and create web applications that reach billions of people. Build highvolume servers. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks. Migrate portions of large codebases from old design patterns to new and improved ones. Identify and improve coding patterns that affect usability, debuggability, and adoption of the Message Platform. Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate architecture improvements. Break down projects into tasks and clear execution plans. Analyze large changes with A/B tests to uncover and remediate regressions.
Requirements:
Requires Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Requires 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have 24 months of experience involving the following: 1. C; 2. C++; 3. Building large-scale infrastructure applications; 4. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting; and 5. Building highly-scalable performant solutions.
